My Research
I work on topics in early Chinese philosophy, particularly those related to moral psychology and integrity. I also have research interests in feminist ethics of care and in Twentieth-Century African philosophy. I am particularly interested in how the different ways we conceive of the self across philosophical traditions affects how we understand emotions, obligations, and values.
Affiliations
I am currently a Fifth-Year PhD Candidate at York University, Toronto. I Completed my Masters degree in Philosophy at Monash University, and a BA in philosophy at The University of Melbourne. I am also an alumnus graduate fellow at Myisha Cherry’s Emotion and Society Lab at UC Riverside.
Current Projects
I was the recent recipient of York University’s 2026 Barrantes Prize in Philosophy, for a paper on how the Zhuangzi helps us understand parasocial relations.
In addition to my dissertation on integrity in the early Confucian tradition, I am also working on applying proto-Daoist thought, specifically the Qiwulun Chapter of the Zhuangzi to investigate norms of inquiry and conspiracy theories.
